Endure The Journey & Own Your Life
I created this page on my personal website to allow you to not only follow something I consider extremely important in my life but something that might help you in yours. In 2019, I found myself married to the love of my life and a proud first time father. I was also over 365 lbs and going down a road of medication and health issues. My family genetics are not great and cancer and heart disease have claimed many on both sides. I knew sitting in my doctors office and having him explain gastric bypass and what the upcoming years would be like, I knew it was now or never. I knew under all the unhealthy there was determination and strength to get healthier. I just needed the encouragement and guidance to ignite the flame. The weight loss secret was not something so unattainable, it was as simple as movement. I started walking on streets in my town and then hiking on trails and pushing myself to go further. Once I could do that, I started jogging and then running. It has not been easy and the weight did not melt off over night. What did happen was I got to know myself on those streets and trails. I gained perspective and embraced the suck, ultimately learned how to endure. It was about learning to suffer well and working harder that shifted my mindset.
This is what this page is about, maybe it will help you gain perspective on your journey. It's not a fancy diet trend and only You can bring the change you want to see in your life. Inspiration and motivation can only go so far, You need to endure, embrace the suffering and face accountability each and everyday. I wish you utmost success on your journey and as Cameron Hanes says "Keep Hammering".
