Tripod Rock is a balancing rock or perched boulder that draws visitors from all over. Located in Kinnelon, New Jersey in the Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area. This multi-ton boulder, located near the edge of a long ridge, is balanced on three smaller boulders. The geologic explanation is totally plausible and it could be what remains as the glaciers receded. There is however other theories, from megalith builders of Europe to native American calendar site. During the summer solstice, the setting sun rays shine directly between tripod rock and cast an interesting shadow on a rock near by. From natural occurrence to a possible energy vortex this is a location that is incredible to see for yourself. Being sensitive this area does have very high energy fields and did make my EMF meter (electromagnetic field) spike in many places.
