At the moment of our physical death our soul or consciousness leaves the physical body. Consciousness is the multilevel fabric of the universe, when the physical body dies our soul consciousness transitions beyond the veil. Think of our consciousness as a spiritual vibration or frequency, once we leave the physical behind we enter that collective frequency that some call heaven, nirvana and paradise etc.. This consciousness connects you and your loved one in the physical and spiritual realms. The power of thought, prayer or meditation can act as a phone call to the other side and link your consciousness. Our loved ones know we are thinking of them, their bodies are no more but the essence that made them the people we love did not die with their bodies. Their soul consciousness is very much alive and now free of it’s earthly limitations. When people going through the grieving process ask me about communication with their loved ones, I’ll always tell them to talk to them. I know it might look crazy if you're driving to work and you're having a conversation with your mom or grandmother but it’s not as crazy as you think. You don’t even need to talk out loud to send messages to your loved ones on the other side, the power of thought can be communicated beyond the veil. A good example of sharing consciousness on earth is thinking of someone and then having that person you were thinking about call you. The conversation might go something like this. “for some strange reason I had a feeling that I should call you” or perhaps something like this “I had the feeling that something is wrong with you”. Then there are the phone calls of people that haven't spoken in awhile and when one the the people thought of the other person the phone rings and it’s them. They say something to the effect of “for some reason you just popped into my mind”. I feel that this soul consciousness is at work in these situations. This is a good example of how communication with our loved ones on the other side works too. When we pray for them and think of them, that connection is made. Death does not extinguish consciousness; it only changes from physical to spiritual. |
